Profile
Introduction
Tungsten carbide balls are manufactured from tungsten carbide (WC) and metallic binders (such as cobalt) using powder metallurgy processes, resulting in exceptional hardness and wear resistance. They maintain dimensional and structural stability even under demanding conditions, including high temperatures and exposure to corrosive media.
● Production Process: Powder metallurgy, involving mixing, pressing, and sintering, followed by grinding and polishing.
● Applications: Valve seals, precision bearings, ball valves for oil pipelines, mold manufacturing, measuring instruments, aerospace, medical equipment, etc.
● Performance Specifications: Hardness ≥ 90.5 HRA; density ≈ 14.9 g/cm³; high compressive strength; excellent thermal stability.
Features
● High Hardness: The hardness of cemented carbide balls far exceeds that of ordinary steel balls, allowing them to maintain a sharp contact surface.
● High Wear Resistance: They retain their shape and dimensions even under continuous friction and wear.
● High-Temperature Resistance: Performance remains stable in high-temperature environments exceeding 400°C.
● Corrosion Resistance: They are resistant to damage in acidic or alkaline environments and corrosive media.
● High Precision: They feature excellent surface finish and dimensional consistency, making them suitable for precision equipment.
● Bending Resistance: They possess high rigidity and are resistant to deformation.
